Hipsters are a subculture of men and women that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art, innovation, creativity, intelligence, and sharp banter. Although ‘hipster’ is really a state of mind, it is also often intertwined with distinctive styles that should not to be confused as ‘fashion’. Hipsters generally reject the culturally-ignorant attitudes of mainstream society.
